Hearing Unheard Moments and Thrive Capacity Building at MegaWeekMedia: CPN-PREV

As part of Public Safety Canada’s Megaweek Conference, the Students Commission of Canada (SCC), in partnership with the CPN-PREV, convened a full-day workshop titled Hearing Unheard Moments (HUM) on Wednesday, October 22 at The 519 in Toronto.

This report highlights the key messages and grounding principles that emerged from the collective reflections of 80 participants on the HUM framework. Anchored in CPN-PREV’s principles and informed by Indigenous methodologies, the workshop centred dignity, positionality, reciprocity, relationality, and a commitment to Do No Harm. Facilitated by CPN-PREV, the discussions explored meaningful youth engagement through the SCC’s Four Pillars: Respect, Listen, Understand, and Communicate.
